@Sift I think the difference is that with the Facebook page, there's better circulation of news through word of mouth.

When the Devroom and MML3 was first announced, many folks jumped on it. But afterwards, Capcom didn't do much to garnish any more attention. There were only, like 2 Youtube videos and a couple of updates on public blogs. Also, they made it sound like joining the Devroom wasn't necessary to have the game completed. The only other time MML3 made any big internet news was when the Prototype version was announced, and then when it was delayed. And last of all, when the game was scrapped.

As long as many folks keep pushing the FB page, and gaming sites show that the movement exists and is making headway, getting 100k just might be possible.
