Sony: PS3 disc drive errors not a firmware issue

This happened to me as well; I updated the firmware, my blu-ray player stopped reading discs, and now Sony wants me to pay $150.

The problem is a DNS server issue. You can't connect to the server if it's set to automatic. Find out your proper DNS number and put it in, and you'll connect. I tried all day Friday, and for about an hour this morning. Changed my DNS and I was in the very first time.
