Nintendo's new Zelda falls flat

Nov 12th 2006 9:41AM (Joystiq)
I was going to argue but then I took a look at the poster's name: Vladimir Cole. A name not worth commenting on because of all his stupid anti-Nintendo posts in the past.

Take a chill pill, this man is far from being neutral towards any game or hardware Nintendo puts out.

DS schooling Japanese students

Oct 25th 2006 9:40AM (Joystiq)
#9, Psaakyrn:

Japanese junior and senior high schools think a lot about conserving the money and wasting them on laptops doesn't fit into that policy. Also, considering the popularity of the Nintendo DS along with it's low price is a lot more appealing to the japanese than buying a laptop for the minimum amount of 50.000 yen.

Critics still coming to terms with Wii's "next-gen-ness"

Oct 24th 2006 7:45PM (Joystiq)
It seems that most people are missing the point. Nintendo has never called Wii next-gem themselved. Media and other companies have. Nintendo's statement, however, is that Wii is NEW-GEN.

Sony says European gamers "don't mind" delays and later releases

Dear Sony.

Would you please stop talking with your ass.

Sincerely,
Your Avarage European.

Nintendo expects Mom to leave notes on your Wii

Oct 2nd 2006 11:37AM (Joystiq)
Mr. Vladimir, isn't it time for you to stop posting stupid things? This beats out your post about Nintendo being greedy and stupid just because they make profit off the Wii from day one.

Rational gamers choose subsidized hardware, all else equal [update 2]

Give me back my 30 seconds! This is the most stupid post I've read on Joystiq... ever.

With some effort, CNET compiles vaporware all-stars

Jul 28th 2006 3:46AM (Joystiq)
I think Fallout should be ranked at 3 or 4, to be honest. It's been cancelled two times, already, so it's production cycle at Bethesda is the third cycle it goes through.

The first cycle was when they finished Fallout 2. Production for Fallout 3 started almost right away, using the good ol' Fallout 1 engine. But alas, because of financial problems, the title was cancelled.

The second and the only version we've actually seen something from was the Van Buren project which was cancelled due to Interplay's great management and their decision to keep releasing crappy console titles for the Xbox and PS2 in order to get some money. As we all know, it failed miserably and despite the fact that they got like 4 million dollars by selling the rights for Fallout 3, 4 and 5 to Bethesda, they're still short of money and cluelessly trying to figure out how the hell they're gonna manage to make that Fallout Online game.

Hopefully, Bethesda doesn't screw with the game because then I will be a really, really sad gamer. :(

Noble Pink DS Lite launch draws crowds in Japan

Jul 21st 2006 3:16AM (Joystiq)
I was actually walking around in Den Den Town in Osaka with my friends when we heard someone promoting the pink DS Lite. My friend (male) ended up with his own pink DS, which he is supposedly quite happy with.

Monkey Island: the high school play [update 1]

Jun 25th 2006 11:19AM (Joystiq)
I have to admit that when I actually checked bits of the play from here and there, I saw that the script was actually quite good and the whole dialogue was pretty funny. And after reading Gilbert's comment, I kind of appriciate the director's work on the play, because going such a long way just to get the show on stage shows his devotion to both production as well as the Monkey Island series.

Good job, Hammond High School. :)

Fat lady will sing for DS; Opera hits Japan July 24

Jun 22nd 2006 6:12AM (Joystiq)
This is great news indeed. I might jump on it, actually, since I'll be staying in Japan from the beginning of July and throughout August. As long as it supports ISO-8859-1, I'll be buying it!
