Aion producer talks about 3.0 and being truly free

Note to production team making the video: Don't give the guy a reclining chair...or at least tell him not to bob back and forth in it while he talks.

The Daily Grind: What class would you add to your MMO?

Came to post this. If WoW had bards, I'd be back in that game in an instant.

One of the main reasons I came to LotR:O was the minstrel class.

Rift has bards, but they are severely...weird.

The Soapbox: The raid can wait; your kids can't

It seems that the context is clear in your case.

From what you've said, your daughter isn't asking for you to help her with her homework or drive her to recital. She's asking you to beat up nasty, filthy, little orcses. More power to you for having a daughter that's interested in the game you play.

@Turbana

You claim that Vestas gave rational explanations for his behavior.

Operative word: claim.

Vestas tried to fish for some support and didn't get it from The Minn and won't get it from me because he's wrong and inconsiderate. It's pretty simple.

It sounds like Vestas' girlfriend has three children: the 11 and 13 year-olds, and Vestas.

"Then little johnny comes up and says his science project he forgot to give you the paperwork for is due tomorrow despite weeks of asking him if anything big was on the table. And older suzy tells you she's late for her recital she didn't tell you about either."

So you punish them for forgetting to tell you about a recital or science project? Do yourself, your girlfriend, and her children a favor, and put down the keyboard and mouse, and get involved in their lives.

When I game, it's either with my fiancee, when we've discussed having out own time to do whatever we want, or when she's out and I've finished all my chores. And yes, I have chores. I'm an adult. Think of it as the RL-version of questing.

The Daily Grind: What game do you play even though you suck?

Jan 3rd 2011 12:59PM (Massively)
I won't play a game unless I'm sure I don't suck at it. I had this conversation with a friend recently. I guess I've always been surprised at the persistence or maybe the ignorance of players who suck. Either they don't know they suck, or they think they're going to get better. More power to them if they do eventually get better at the game. I just don't have that kind of patience for something I'm paying for or at least spending a lot of time on.

How do I access the Siege of Mirkwood content? I can't find any place to actually purchase the expansion.

The Game Archaeologist and the SysOp's Sinister Stratagem

Used to play LORD on a BBS back in the early 90s. I'm a little dismayed, however, that MajorMUD was not mentioned in this post. It was probably the single-most influential game I played back then--in the way that it guided me to MMOs and other RPGs. Also played The Rose for a bit, too, but that all fell to the wayside in the late 90s.
