Whoa. Uh, Steve (#8) - first of all, we're not talking about Eastern European nations, the USSR, Cuba or any of the other nations you conveniently chose in your little tirade. We're talking about Canada. The same Canada that has a surplus budget and has for the last 8 years running. The same Canada that is actively paying down its national debt as opposed to posting a $400 billion+ deficit (more than the total Canadian debt) EVERY SINGLE YEAR. We're talking about the same Canada that is ranked between #1 and #3 most desirable countries to live in the world for the last decade and a half. Most desireable due to it's quality of living.

Coincidentally, the countries that rank right with it are countries like Sweden (who is much more "socialist" than Canada ever has and likely ever will be).

I always get a laugh out of you pseudo-educated know-it-all types who think that because they took a 100-level economics course in college to go along with their propaganda-fueled high school education about foreign policy that they know everything there is to know about world economics, politics, etc.

Your comment is ignorant. Period. Canadians have an extremely high standard of living. They are taxed at a higher rate, yes, but not as high as you seem to believe.

Some countries have different ways of going about things. "Different" does not always mean "wrong".

Says who? Perhaps people who are knowledgable and heavily into videogames (who don't do anything OTHER than playing videogames, who don't talk about anything OTHER than videogames) aren't accepted socially. But that's hardly because you enjoy gaming - that would be because you don't have a balanced lifestyle and, quite frankly, you're boring. Big difference.

I actually never got through the original GRAW because, having made it to the 2nd to last level on hard (I always play through on hard right from the start) my game save got corrupted with an unfixable bug. I wasn't about to go back and start the game all over again, so I just never played it again. Hopefully Ubi can get this one out the door without so many bugs - considering it's essentially just a rehash of last year's game with marginal improvements to smoke effects and a new story line.

No, the funny thing is that Lionsgate is based in Canada but their content won't even be distributed in Canada because the video marketplace is only accessible to customers in the US!

I downloaded and watched "The Ant Bully" in HD yesterday. It was 4GB and took about 2 hours to download - I wouldn't have rented or watched this movie if it weren't so convenient, either. I just checked the marketplace to see if anything new was up, found "The Ant Bully" (and the fact that it was HD) and figured I'd give it a try. It was actually a pretty good movie! Hollywood would do good by putting more movies on this service. I'd rent them.
