Amazon Kindle Fire is a 7-inch Android tablet, only $199, has Angry Birds

@xebix

Sorry, let me clarify. I didn't mean all Kindles were abandoning e-ink, only that it's ironic Amazon is jumping on the same bandwagon they rallied against just a year ago. Also, I didn't mean it to sound critical--each format certainly has its advantages.

So has the Kindle Fire picked up a standard LCD screen and abandoned e-ink altogether? Only a year ago Amazon had Kindle commercials running to point out how hard an LCD is to see in bright sunlight. Irony!

Silent Hill: Downpour trailer channels Children of the Korn

I'm going to echo a lot of the sentiment above and say that the song really isn't as bad as it could have been. I don't think it particularly suits Silent Hill, but it's also not so far out there as to leave me scratching my head.

@soniccar

I can't say I've really understood this overwhelmingly negative attitude. If you don't care for the game, simply don't play it. Live and let live or some such nonsense.

@Warlock234

As I posted above, the game had 11 million subscribers just 3 short months ago. That's hardly "nobody."

11 million subscribers (as of June 2011 anyway) would like a word with you.

Japan's 3DS Ambassador games include Metroid, Zelda 2 [update: North America too]

@Yatagarasu

I personally have learned to take any sort of TBA release window with a grain of salt. I too was impatient and bought a 3DS at full price, and I too have let it collect dust for several months. We all knew it would get a price drop sooner or later, and it just happened to be sooner. It's not like Nintendo is just screwing with us. A lot of people are happy to get some old NES/GBA games, and as the cliche goes, you can't please everyone all the time.

@spartalaughs

Some people are just bored without something to complain about. Anyone who took the time to do a little research would have realized that the 3DS's launch lineup and foreseeable release schedule were a bit dodgy. They have no one to blame but themselves for spending more money than they apparently feel the 3DS is worth.

Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions now on iPhone, separate iPad version 'coming later'

@Tihn I think it's a stretch to say FF1 and FF2 are the best looking PSP games, and I think you're making quite an enormous leap by guessing "Vita ports" of the PS2 FF games are next in the queue.

@Accessgranted If SE can't port a 14 year old PS1 game without significant performance issues, don't count on them to be able to port a PS2 game.
