EA is The Consumerist's 'Worst Company in America,' wins Golden Poo

People defending EA need to listen to how their CEO views the consumer, and DLC.

Battlefield 3 mega patch hitting Xbox 360 tomorrow

Rent a server isn't optional because there is no other option if you want to host a server. It's pay EA or don't host. As was said earlier, what happened to letting people have the server side software? Oh right, stats are the main thing that keep the ADHD crowd in games these days and if they can't maintain control of the servers, they can't control the stats, and if they can't control the stats they can't control the players.

He took a perfect game into the top of the 8th but gave up 2 hits. He stayed in the game so no relief was needed, and he got the complete game. Fans are hoping he can pitch a perfect game in his next start.

Ninja Gaiden 3 review: To be blunt

Metareview: Ninja Gaiden 3

Mar 26th 2012 7:11PM (Joystiq)
This really hurts. Ninja Gaiden on the arcade was one of the great games when I was a kid. And Ninja Gaiden on the original Xbox was amazing in that still felt like the arcade (difficulty, jumping/leaping, button mashing combos), and gave it to me in a 3d world. In the age of no walkthroughs, it was rewarding to work out the strategy to kill the boss after he killed me dozens of times. The weapons were sufficiently different to allow me to pick one I liked and fine tune my skill with it over the course of the game. There was definitely a feeling of starting the game like my hands were all thumbs, and by the end feeling like I was a silky smooth killing machine, dropping the baddies like I was a real.... ninja.

Ninja Gaiden 3 seems to be none of the above and it makes me sad.

Torchlight team remains strong in face of Diablo 3

This thread makes me happy that I have both the time, and the money, to play both TL2 and D3. If you guys are doing it so tough that you can only get D3 or TL2, then you shouldn't be getting D3 or TL2 in the first place. You should sell the PC so you can put food on the table.

What has SW got to do with this, and vice versa? The game will never go back to classic WoW because there's not money in it. Listening to the vocal minority instead of the silent majority ruined the game for me. Catering for casuals at the cost of hardcore players ruined the game for me. I'm an OCD oldie so everything that attracted me to the game is gone. I understand that the ADD kids love WoW now.

All that said I'll be coming back to level my character up, see the nice art, and get 3 months of solid gameplay out of the game. Then I will shelve my account till the following expansion.

Mists of Pandaria tries to breathe new life into an old World of Warcraft

Here's the problem as I see it. When Blizzard created WoW they were in the entertainment business, and boy were we entertained and happy to give up our money for the games and subscriptions. Then they merged with Activision and Vivendi and were then in the business of entertainment. The downturn of the game was because they used Arthas too early to drive massive sales of the game, and most importantly because it became obvious to players everywhere that the decisions about every facet of the game were (are) driven, fundamentally, by how much money could be made as result of a change. Perhaps all the truly creative and innovative people left Blizzard a while ago?
