Call of Duty Elite for PC won't be ready at launch

Nov 4th 2011 2:59PM (Joystiq)
It's not like I'm gonna be buying any Call of Duty game any time soon, but they should just stick to Steam for stat tracking and everything else.

All those games are on sale this weekend on Steam for 2 bucks each.

Diablo 3 'feels even better' with console controllers, but support won't be ready for release

@Drakkenfyre All Bethesda games are now Stemworks, including previous releases. Although for older games like Oblivion and Morrowind, you have to buy the game from Steam to get Steamworks features. THQ is also fully onboard using Steamworks in all their games now.

2K Games and Square Enix are also slowly introducing Steamworks to their newer games.

Indie games just don't sell on consoles, that's a fact. All console players want is the new Call of duty/Gears/*insert overhyped high budget game here* , and dismiss most, if not all indie games as "kids games" or "crappy cheap games".

This was already possible on COD4 MW by simply tweaking server files. Glad it's getting full support now.

Too bad Microsoft won't let Activision do this through Xbox live. Pretty sure it would on PC only and maybe PS3.

Battlefield 3 won't be sold on Steam; EA claims service 'restricts our ability to directly support players'

@andysexton, Nope. Neither Crysis 2 or Da2 require you to be in-game to buy DLC. You still have to go through Crytek and Bioware points(respectively) to get DLC for said games.

Technically on Dirt 3(and other GFWL titles) you have to be on the GFWL system, which is in-gmae through the overlay, to buy the DLC.

Battlefield 3 won't be sold on Steam; EA claims service 'restricts our ability to directly support players'

Bull****. There's ton of games on Steam that have their own patching system(see EA's own Battlefield Bad Company 2) and their own "exclusive" DLC service(see recently released Dirt 3 and Operation Flashpoint that sell DLC through GFWL). None of these games(including a ton of other games) have been pulled from Steam.

There is no coincidence that 2 of this year's Ea's heavy hitters have been pulled from Steam(Crysis 2 and Dragon Age 2), just so people would be force to buy from Origin or other DD services. This is clearly just another EA marketing scheme just so they have their 100% profit cut from their own DD service(instead of the 70% cut they get from Steam).
