Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim apparently contains much of Tamriel

@StormEagle I know! I need to get it too lol. I got the CE for 360, and was debating on getting the CE for PC... but i figured that would be overkill haha, so probably just the basic game... or a Steam dl

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim apparently contains much of Tamriel

@blessrok There is more detail there than there would need to be just to 'have something there' if you even managed to get high enough over the mountains to see them. Im %100 positive that its there for modders at least. And %100 hopeful that it has something to do with DLC lol.

Howard: Skyrim offers infinite procedurally generated quests

They say unlimited, and im sure thats a fair thing to say, but by mathematical standards there are only so many possible combinations of things to get/kill, places to go, etc. still... Im sure it would take longer than anyone was willing to play to encounter every single possibility. lol that sounds like a challenge...

I accept my own challenge... :P

Gaze ye upon the map of Skyrim and tremble

@Faceless Troll How can you not run into something interesting? I have multiple playthroughs and each around at least 50 hours. I just avoided the planes of Oblivion after the first two times lol, that got old fast. but you always come across creatures or caves and other things. But they have specifically said that they are attempting to have less open space anyways.

Catherine review: Love is far from over

@Mastrius I agree that games shouldn't just be based on gameplay. Character development/storyline are both very important aspects of a game as well. Along with graphics and the quality of voice acting *Cough*Two Worlds*Cough*. Of course, if the gameplay isn't that fun to some people then storyline and graphics might not be enough to keep someone involved. I'm not judging this game, I haven't tried it yet but I want to.

Also, on the length-of-game topic. 10-15 hours isn't horrible. I mean, think of gaming as a job, you are the employer and the game is your employee, you pay it to keep you entertained. If you pay $60 for a 10 hour game, thats only $6/hour which is less than minimum wage... so anything longer than 10 hours decreases the cost/hour making it an even better value. But thats just kind of the way I think lol.

Skyrim collector's edition comes with unlimited dragons, plus one

I don't think it's the most horrible thing that could happen. I was just at GameStop today when I heard about it. The CE had just been announced apparently (I had been waiting to see if they would have one; I was thinking it would be $80-$90) but when I asked the price I was shocked at hearing $150. So I looked over the details of what came with and I was a little disappointed, but not by much. A 200 page book and a one foot tall figurine of a dragon seems pretty cool to me. But I am also the kind of person who likes getting CE games New just to have the bragging rights. As of right now, I have the CE of TES V:Skyrim reserved for me. It wont seem too bad if I just go in every now and then and put down $15 or $20. Also, I am waiting to see the box art that all the items will come in. No one seems to be including that in what comes with the game, but it it does... unless they are just going to shrink wrap it all together, which would be lame.
But on top of all that, the game itself looks so incredible that in my mind, I'm giving that a value of $80 instead of $60, so the extra CE stuff is technically only $70 :P
Also, I read a breakdown of the costs, and its not horrible, the statue is a bit overpriced, but it was something like this. The DVD is $10, the book is $25 (which is kinda cheap for a full color hardcover book imo) and $50 for the statue.
But if like me you see the game itself worth $80, then I see the DVD as $10, the book at $30 and the statue at $30. (Maybe you can tell I am still trying to convince myself to get it lol, I want those bragging rights. But I really do value the game at $80...)
