Considering the camera will be better suited to interactions closer to the unit, $100 doesn't seem TOO steep. My reasoning with the price is that the Kinect is also a lot more flexible in terms of use, as opposed to the Kinect for the Xbox.
It's no surprise the Kinect hasn't done nearly as well this year in comparison to the 2010 holiday season. The hype has died down and, save for a few dance games, the Kinect has no must-have titles or apps to drive sales.
Taylor's story is showing just how amateur Microsoft's Xbox security team really is. This was a poorly handled incident, and I can't begin to imagine the other poor souls who have yet to have their issues resolved.
I might understand if the problem is far-reaching and affecting many others, though it might infuriate me more if we find out Microsoft is pulling a Sony on this hacking/phishing/whatever incident.
@Courtney Yeah... I never got passed the elementary school segment. Those ankle-shankers and pitch black corridors scared the living hell out of me. Two of my three greatest fears, right there.
It's a shame they're leaving the original out of the HD collection.
While BioShock was stellar and Infinite is shaping up to be solid title, nothing in the original really "moved" me... save for the one instance where I had liked to kindly beat the living **** out of Fontaine.
@Ospov Suffices to say, that was an Obsidian title. Bethesda merely published it. Personally, I liked both, though New Vegas could have had a more... Vegas feel to it. Obsidian's version of the Strip is... sad.
@MJLahey This is so true. Interplay is out of touch and Masthead has yet to prove they can handle a single game title, much less an MMO. This is probably why they haven't revealed any information on it - their work is probably still shoddy as hell and/or they haven't gotten anything off the ground.
Honestly, the game probably would have had a harder time staying afloat than Realtime Worlds' APB release.
I'm not excited in the least bit for a direct sequel to Black Ops, thus far the weakest of the Call of Duty bunch. I am guessing they're registering the domains for "blackops[something].com" for the fact that there are lots of customers I get who ask for "Black Ops 2" when what they really wanted was whatever game came after Black Ops... namely MW3.
Big sigh, I know. But hey, Activision needs to cover their bases.

Jan 9th 2012 7:58PM (Joystiq)This had to be a publicity stunt. Who in their right mind would've voted to keep the price at $12.99 on the PSN?
