As long as the main quest has an awesome plot, I'm good. 'Cuz I'm gonna ignore most of the side quests anyway, just like what I did for Fallout 3 & New Vegas. Sure it's nice that we have infinite dragons and quests, but that only means faster leveling up for me. Once I reach max level, everything falls into place anyway, UNDER MY FEET.
CoD blew up after 4:MW, then it set the pace for EA's next CoD titles. Everyone was expecting another CoD4. DICE, however, was just releasing at their own pace before CoD4. They're now just trying to keep up.
All this CoD vs BF results into one thing: better games (or FPS games in that manner).
As these game titles compete who's better, they're gonna innovate and push to the next level all that they influence, even other game devs are affected by this. All in all, what we all gamers should expect from them is this. Better games for our enjoyment.
it is happening! Nintendo is gonna patent troll in the next 10+ yrs. We've seen the signs (more recycling of titles, lesser number of new ones, too much accessories for their accessories)
and this is coming from a guy w/ the name "Guybrush"? ... hmmm ...
anyways, super geeks are cool dudes (and dudettes). you might be mistaking super geeks from NEETs (the purest form of antisocial). those are the ones that don't care about people, real trolls i might say.
my view of super geeks are those that just want to share their view of the stuff they love the most. I have no qualms about it (... aside from those that don't shower.) cuz they just want to share the "love".
all i'm trying to say is: HUG THAT GEEK, he/she might find you some cool stuff :D
anyways, i understand your concern about skyrim's obsession of dragons. but it's been a while since these mythical creatures have been featured in a game that (might) not suck to play.
are you thinking of the guide that usually comes inside the disc cover or a guide into finishing the game (like those walkthrough book ones)?
if it's the former, it might be within the disc cover. you won't usually read through it unless you need to remind yourself of the various controls while playing.
