Dan Henderson is a better wrestler on paper, but over the years moved more and more away from his wrestling for that "Stand and bang" style and just hunted around for the big right hand. I think years in PRIDE being called "Decision Dan" got to him, because in his entire UFC career he never utilized his wrestling ability all that much.

The difference between Chael and Dan is that Chael is not afraid to grind out a decision by controlling Anderson on the mat. He won't win the first round then come out in round 2 looking for the big knockout. Not the most exciting way to win, but you know what? Better to win the title boring than to get KTFO.

Beer Geek Brunch is awesome. $13 a bottle though.

Also worth noting is Port Brewings Old Viscosity ("Not your father's 30 weight!") and Flying Dog's "Raging Bitch" (with a Steadman drawing of a dog with a huge vagina on the label)

I don't let Moore as a person taint my enjoyment of his works, although the dude is pretty batshit. He's drank way too much of his own Kool-Aid.

As far as From Hell, the movie wasn't good, but the book was just unreadable...to be fair, it wasn't Moore's fault that the artist decided to draw 20 different squiggly black line people with squiggly black hats, but the fucking thing is incomprehensible.

No trailer has ever made me want to see a movie more than this trailer right here.

I personally know a girl who's Twilight obsessed. She's like 30 years old, does nothing but read/write Twilight Fanfic and every time I talk to her it's either directly about Twilight or fawning over what the actors she's chosen to obsess over are doing currently, and how amazing it is. Makes her pretty much impossible to talk to.

The event that literally happened 48 hours ago sold out in minutes. A small event at a bad time doesn't sell well so they move it, and it's a sign of a market shift? This card is a fight night level card that was in Salt Lake City, UT on a Sunday. All it's a sign of is poor planning on UFC's part.

The cruiserweight division is a terrible idea. Mir is considering changing divisions because he's having a hard time at HW....just like a lot of other fighters decide to division hop. Diego went back up to WW after getting dominated at LW, but that doesn't mean we need a new division in the middle there, does it? I've broken it down before in way too much detail, but basically, the new 235 or whatever division would be so devoid of decent talent it'd be a joke to call it a division. It's not that hard for a 230lb guy to cut down to LHW....hell, most of them do it. Or change your diet/conditioning and bulk up for heavyweight. See: Allistair Overeem. Mir is struggling because he's your classic BJJ/MT fighter with minimal takedown defense/offense. This archetype is becoming more and more difficult to succeed with as high level wrestlers come into the sport. It's easy to say Carwin dominated due to size, but perhaps he had superior positional control as a former NCAA champion wrestler?

Mir doesn't need a new weight class, he needs better training.

The black Nick Fury was established in Marvel's Ultimates series, where they pretty much rebooted a lot of their ancient/campy properties. In fact, most all of the Marvel run movies are using the Ultimates universe/storylines at least loosely.

In fact, Ultimates Nick Fury was drawn looking pretty much exactly like Sam Jackson, and Jackson was even referenced by name in the book.

When you're making a movie of an established property, the more you change it the more you'll be upsetting fans of the property. It's a bit more ok when:
1) You change an ancillary character like Nick Fury, who looks dated and silly in his old incarnation
2) the comics make the change "canon"

@Archangel06: So your assertion is that everyone in UFC is on the juice (I assume because they look bigger than Fedor?) despite being regularly tested, and that Fedor's management is just protecting him from these steroid bullies?

Why is it that they've said they want to fight Barnett, who's popped positive 3x in his career? I'm sure you think Overeem is juicing too, considering he looks pretty buff as well.
