I just scored a cheap starter to get by until DX10 is affordable. After 5yrs on my custom socket A I got a refurbed HP with decent specs (AM2 X2 4200+) for $350 and a 7600GT for another $120 so I can at least play BF2 mods and maybe some STALKER or Crysis. I feel better buying AMD and don't need some fire-breathing 700W C2D monster. I've had the 360 for a year but still like shooters with my PC pals. Search at slickdeals.net for my specs on the a1600n, can't build it that fast that cheap.

Yes I got mine last week shipped from Buy.com, but cheaper on Amazon. I paid shipping since they aren't available locally yet. Great unit, install CD first, fired up Flat Out 2 for PC and played with wireless gamepad. The game was a litte confused at first but after starting game I plugged in standard headset into gamepad and fired up Teamspeak just fine. Now I'm hoping they bundle Forza II with the MS Wheel.

I'm 55 and still passionate about PC and 360 gaming after all these years since Hexen and Doom. I have a lawncare service so I have all winter to play. It's my anti-aging device and it works great. I'd consider the Wii just for the exercise in the off-season.

I still pal with the guys from the Battlefield 42 days at cracksmokingmonkeys.net and we are doing Flat Out 2 until a good BF mod comes along.

I thought the last few years in PC shooters left a lot to be desired but just hang in there for DX10 titles and new game engines. It should go along way towards fighting off senility.

It's out now, I just ordered my reciever from Buy.com. Can't wait to try it out on the PC with my wireless gamepad in Flat Out 2. I wonder if the standard 360 headsets that plug into the pads will work wirelessly as well. Now that would rock.

I don't have it but I do call up Directv every couple of months to get some love. I just got 6mo free HD for asking. Love my HR10 250 HD DVR, as good as Series 3.
