i think ms have nailed it as a easy to use service with good bandwidth allocated, i feel that if the 360 install base keeps growing stuidio's cannot afford to keep there distance, as consumers who current own a 360 have extremly high attach rates implying a hardcore base and these are the peole that are going to buy hd movie, hd dvd or blu ray.
personly as a consumer i think this service is a great alternative to the upcoming formate war. when dvd came out the difference between it and vhs was huge but we are not seeing the same with bd and hddvd, to justifie a player is hard. but the abbilaty to play games is a great bouns, this still does not justifie a ps3 as they still have not shown their movie serivce plus the network it self have had teething with just a few hundred thousand user downloads(gt hd demo)
so sony may have a good selection of studio's but if they cant do the tech behind it, it will be useless

i think that sony service will be half asked and will insted try to shove blu ray down peoples wallets

i think a main reason for "fanboys" is to do with the target market of gamers you have school to high school to uni students, now this age range is not the richest they can't afford to buy all 3 and acompanying games so they feel they must defend their purchase to the Death.a kid does'nt have a stable income his income are his parents, can a kid ask for 3 consoles, controllers and games for chrismas? i think not. so i feel that all SDF NDF ect.. just look at the negatives of a rival, and not cite the positives to keep any questions about the inferiority or flaws of their system away.

you cant do a comparasion reveiw with out somthing to compare it to. what is very strange is they give graphics to the ps3 when no two multi format games have been released, also when its clear that the 360 has a more powful graphics card but not processor, and a longer lasting one due to the unified shaders. also giving it mult media cant be decided yet as its blu ray vs windows media center (vista)and hd dvd add on.

the simple fact is that all preveiws of the game say its a hit. also in game development the last 80% of development is peformance and debugging so can they clear it up in the next month? even if there are bugs then this could be cleared through a patch eg. like far cry for the 360 where they took the framrate from 30 to 60 and eliminated network lag by just by a patch.

this is a stupid statement, like their games can decide the fate of a console war,

it just shows the attitude towards video game from the older generation has not changed, they still have fear of adiction to games by younger kids. but a funny idea raised by the video game hater is that kids can get into debt from video arcades. wtf!

what if the screen that you bring up the ui on is a white screen? you would not be able to see s***. oh and if you think a white screen will never happen wat about a explosion.

the fact is sony cannont make software look at their video editing suit's

xbox live is allways going to a be a better sevice since the most popu of microsoft products have been online based. eg no .wmv files streaming, msn and hotmail, also the web cam coming later in the year and also msn IM intergration is ment to be planed and possibltys of eposodic content and downloading hd movies and games all via maketplace

but ps3 live would be good, as compeition causes advancements that get passed onto the consumer
