As much as Dragon Age II had its faults, its writing was not one of them. The characters and dialogue was still leagues above what even the other triple-A RPGs of 2011 (Witcher 2 and Skyrim) had, it just fell down in other areas.
It's a shame the admittedly large faults of repetitive environments and tiny scope of Dragon Age II overshadowed the fact that it was still superbly written and voice acted.
@Natester21 Server population seems to have a perfect shift between US and EU servers over 24 hours.
Day / Evening in US: US populations generally seem to be about 1/3 Standard, 1/3 Heavy, and 1/3 split between Very Heavy, Full and Light. EU populations at Light.

It's easy to get a screenshot showing higher server loads or low server loads for whatever an article requires - just take the screenshot at either day or night.
After seeing the high number of hateful comments on IGN's 'Gay History of Gaming' article which discusses same sex relationship inclusion in Bioware games, it's refreshing to see such a universally accepting, open-minded and rational community here.
As a gay man, I've always preferred to follow same-sex relationships in RPGs like Dragon Age and Fable because that's what feels right to me when given the choice. Even though it's (usually) a superficial option in a game, it does heighten my immersion as I feel I can invest a bit more of myself in my character, allowing them to better represent a virtual me rather than just a stranger steered through a story.
I've never understood why some players feel offended by the initial advances of same-sex characters (which you can obviously deflect), as I've never felt offended by female characters hitting on my male character - I take it as an ego boost and go back to making suggestive jokes with Zevran (Dragon Age: Origins).
Congrats Bioware for making me love The Old Republic even more...although I guess I'll need to create a new character since my current Jedi Sentinel follows the Jedi Code to the letter, avoiding all that frowned-upon stuff like flirting and relationships.
