Mar 15th 2012 10:50AM (Joystiq)Just cause you have weeks between "Finished" and "On the Shelf" doesn't mean you could have still crammed more on the disc.
Exactly! Most people really have no experience in the real world. Thank you for a very smart post.

Mar 9th 2012 9:16AM (Joystiq)Agreed! It's so tiring listening to whiners that want everything for free. I remember when gamers would just be happy there was DLC at all because sometimes there wasn't any. Listen companies are going to make DLC and they are going to charge for it. Get over it. Sure some exclusive day-one stuff is a bit silly but who cares. And it doesn't make a difference if they make the DLC before or after the game release, it all the same. It quite often depends on the resources a company and it's business plan. If they make it ahead of time it does not mean they are ripping you off.
Infinity Blade: Dungeons, Namco's Sky Gamblers shown off on new iPad [Update: Infinity Blade trailer and details]
Mar 7th 2012 4:54PM (Joystiq)So then you don't consider handheld (ex, Vita) real gaming either? Your splitting hairs. It's a gaming platform and can be taking as seriously as anything. It can certainly be taking as seriously as developing for XBL Arcade. I don't see any difference, and developers don't see any difference. XBL Arcade are generally shorter games. And there are longer games on iOS too. And then you have Kinect which doesn't use buttons either. They are all platforms. I never said one would substitute for the other. But they can all be taken as serious platforms. BTW I know some filmmakers who would consider short films just as worthy as long films. That's why short films also win oscars.

Mar 7th 2012 4:43PM (Joystiq)Spoken like a real hater. The iPad 2 IS $400 now. And you're pretty much the only person who thinks it "shitty". It may not be for everyone but it's a quality device definitely with the price. There hasn't been one review that said it wasn't a great device. But as a hater you probably didn't realize that. Also the laptop comparison is meaningless. If you need a laptop get a laptop. IMO I can do everything I need to do on a tablet so no need for a laptop.
Infinity Blade: Dungeons, Namco's Sky Gamblers shown off on new iPad [Update: Infinity Blade trailer and details]
Mar 7th 2012 3:47PM (Joystiq)I hear ya man, but haters are gonna hate. I have an Xbox, iPad, and iPhone. I use them all for gaming (and obviously other stuff). If you loves games, you love all types of games, and not just a specific genre on a specific platform.
There are people posting saying that no matter what the specs (processor, ram, or resolution) they wouldn't like it anyway. That really makes no sense. I mean it's all personal preference. It's fine that you don't like it, but it's equally fine for some to love it.
There are good and bad games on all platforms. It's childish to start with the whole hardcore vs casual. Choose what makes you happy, and let other do the same.

Mar 7th 2012 3:28PM (Joystiq)So both your posts together make no sense. He says there's not enough processing power, and you say the RAM and the screen resolution don't make a difference. Aren't these all the the things that people say that make their PC gaming better? The iPad increased all these things.
From having played games like Infinity Blade on the iPad2, which looked and played great, I'd say the new iPad will have the processing, ram, and resolution to run amazing games.
It just seems your posts are basically saying, no matter what they do, I won't like it.
