You make a good point. However, art isn't necessarily what the artist says it is, it's what the audience determines it to be. For me, personally, I've always connected The Walking Dead to Grimes's story. When the AMC series deviated from that story in significant ways, I felt like it was no longer The Walking Dead. I have no problem if this is a world where other stories occur, but then call it something else, subtitled "A Walking Dead Story" or something like that. That way people will know it is not Grimes's story, but takes place in that world. I just think it isn't clear and Telltale might be taking advantage of that.

Then why call it The Walking Dead? I mean, The Walking Dead is a particular story, with specific characters and plot elements. If you aren't going to follow those elements or deal with those characters, what's the point? Unless you're just trying to build interest in yet ANOTHER zombie game by using the name of a well-loved comic.

Activision and the WSJ can both eat a bag of dicks.

Thanks for the review Justin. I'm going to start playing it tonight when I get home from work. Some of your comments about the recurring dungeons and lack of "epic-ness" are concerns - I thoroughly enjoyed spening most of my waking life for a year tied up in DA:O. However, Bioware has built up some serious trust with me. At this point, I'm pretty willing to buy most any RPG they put out, DA2 included. Even if it isn't up to the heights of the original, I'm sure it will be engrossing and enjoyable for hours on end.

I think the interesting thing here is how artists and labels react to this. This was a nice after-market revenue source for them. Activision is clearly indicating that the cost of licensing fees was too much. So now the labels and artists have bit the hand that fed them and it's gone. Harmonix may actually benefit from reduced licensing fees as the music industry realizes that if they kill of RB too, then everything is dried up. They need to keep RB alive, at least until another viable player enters the market, in order to maintain some of that licensing revenue.

I'm just looking for a tablet the thickness and weight of a Kindle, with the screen size of a trade paperback, a PixelQi (or similar tech) screen, and a front facing camera. I don't care what OS it runs from the current smartphone stable, but until those specs are met I still see myself on the tablet sidelines.

@matthewbostwick It can't all be sour, you have to have some sweet otherwise the message gets completely ignored. It's a tried and true technique in negotiations and other situations where you give to get. I'm sure the words were chosen carefully and intentionally.
