That sounds silly. I don't know how Nintendo "forced" millions of customers to buy their hardware or software especially for the best selling handheld game console to date.
I'm excited about this one! First person perspective games are EXTREMELY WELL suited for 3DS--especially because the 3DS is the best (and only) console for portable gaming.
You guys have probably noticed too that there are Sony execs on this site in full damage control now-trash talking 3DS for the lamest reasons. Sony always thinks more buttons = more fun. That's simply not true. Sigh, I guess until they copy nintendo AGAIN with 3d gaming, they'll continue to hate on it.
Hrm. I can't wait to pick up my copy of this game; mostly cause I had such a blast playing the DS download demo version! As far building my library of games for the 3DS, I couldn't care less whether the game is designed exclusively for the 3DS or whether they are previous DS games right now especially seeing how I never owned or played DS games till I just got the 3DS.
I own this game now and fully understand first hand what the developers were talking about when they said this is not just a port. Star Fox 64 3D has got to be the best use of 3D yet! I think nintendo hit the spot with this game seeing how many have sold and how 3ds sales have jumped dramatically since its announcement. Not that its relevant to this game at all, but it seems sony execs are in full damage control mode now, attacking and smearing to keep negative press on nintendo since 3ds is kicking psp's butt.
Yes, nintendo, yes! Not only did I buy the 3DS for nostalgia, but I bought it because of its new technology that can be used in fun ways. Star Fox on 3DS is the BEST use of 3D in a game to date.
PSP execs are in full damage control now seeing how Star Fox alone is a system seller for the 3DS and their sales recently doubled blowing away its sony rivals.
