"I don't know whether any of the convicted Bluehole folk have gone on to work at En Masse, but I do know that if I decide to play the game, I'll essentially be funding a couple of firms that have no moral qualms about breaking the rules when they see fit."
Haha, it's a good thing that neither rules or laws conflict with morals, in my eyes. Both are made by stupid people with $$ in mind and usually not the concern of the consumer in mind. I'll not lose any sleep if I knew that they ripped off content that was never going to be used in the first place.
Awesome game, had lot of fun in PSO when that first came out. Sadly it also destroyed itself for me. The game saved your character on the little memcards in the controllers which were of course, subject to their own issues. Level 99 character... lost to corruption. Never picked up the game again :(
@DancingCow Yeah really, i'll be playing this because my friends are in it and the story is decent, but this is an mmorpg, not a book. The MMO part needs to be decent as well, so people who claim the story makes or breaks this game need to take a step back and realize that after that 1minute of awesome dialog is over at level 15, you've got another 2-3 levels and 6 hours of mmorpg-questing-etc to play before you get to another 1min of awesome story dialogue. I don't really count the quest dialogue since that's all going to be the same across any alts on the same faction.
@(Unverified) Which makes me laugh hysterically. All the die-hard fans are preordering because "OMFG it's star wars!" (while at the same time boycotting the blu-ray release), while all the Bioware fans are "OMFG it's Bioware!" while yes, it is just a clone of WoW, and even Bioware has been showed to make products not everyone loves (Dragon Age II). Blind faith is dumb.
Because one-shotting bosses in games involving 20+man groups isn't necessarily conducive to having fun. Because translating things into a gaming environment comes with certain requirements, certain guidelines that say "This is a boss encounter". It will require strategy, you'll need to know its weaknesses, and he'll have eleventy billion health. Yes the Godslayer sword should be able to one-shot everything, but it doesn't make for a fun game. What the poster is saying is that the rules of these games when translated back to their original environment (taking MMO rules and applying it to the Star Wars movies) wouldn't be fun, and he's right. And honestly kinda silly for posting this article.
