Too true! Although I'm no fan of ea, I've never been a boycotter either. But...well, when they think it's ok to charge upward of £500 (and even though I know the vast majority of gamers won't fall for it) you've got to wonder what more they have up their sleeves for fleecing their consumers...!

So in addition to the £500-odd it would cost if you wanted to buy *every* piece of content thus far announced, if you want the best ending and play on Xbox, you will also have to shell out for an Xbox gold account?! I appreciate a lot of people have one already, but not everyone wants to play online, or can afford Xbox live.

As a predominantly ps3 gamer, that doesn't really affect me from a cost perspective. But I buy a single player game to play, well, a single player game. I rarely play online and I don't appreciate attempts to force me to do so. I seriously hope this doesn't become a trend...

Not necessarily. The ps2 also operated under the 10 year life cycle concept. However, the ps3 was released during that lifecycle. Sony continued support for the ps2 following the ps3s release. They will probably do similar with ps3/ps4
