to whom -- I've been playing for about five years and I think it hit its peak with the Wrath - I can't think of a person I know who plays or used to play WoW who thinks its trajectory is still going up in popularity. I don't think it's over for WoW, but it's certainly not like the old days when you could barely stand on that ledge waiting to que up for Molten Core.
I think anyone who has played WoW for a while realizes that it's in its twilight years. Something happened after CAT and things have never been quite right .. There just isn't the excitement any more. I think gamers are just waiting for another good MMO to come along .. I don't think Rift is it .. it's close .. maybe it's the new Star Wars MMO or the RTS MMO Empire at War .. But Blizz needs to be careful, cause if it waits too long to release Titan a new guy might just take over.
Petroglyph Games the creators of End of Nations were originally Westwood Studios who designed the first real RTS - Dune II. If anyone can make an MMO RTS its Petroglyph.
