um,, i am an xbot i freelly admit that, but it took me 5 months to get a 360, because of the masive shortages they had when it released, and the numbers are going to be skewed because of that.

3:52PMI knew it. Ever since EA Sports hired Peter Moore, I suspected this was their long-term goal. First, of course, they'd need to create a console of their own and then bowl over the competition with their ten trillion exclusive games, declare themselves the only legitimate console in the world, and subjugate Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, and every last unshackled developer into making games for the ruling platform. Naturally, I'm painting this picture on a backdrop of dark storm clouds, howling winds, frequent lightning strikes, and a cackling, faceless EA corporate effigy standing in front of the flaming wreckage of the video game industry. I jest.

Well, I doubt they'd get that far, but I bet that's their plan, and this EA anecdote is only testing the waters and consumer reaction to the notion. It would really be a strange and interesting time to see EA make a console. Hey, since Nintendo doesn't see itself as competitor to the other two, perhaps there's room for EA at the table.
