Pocket Gamer: How to get Trophies in used Vita games

Feb 29th 2012 8:22AM (Joystiq)
@fid
I enjoy looking at my trophy collection and I don't really want the system ruined by cheaters, so I have no problem with it. Mainly because I have the highest rank of anyone on my friends list, lol.

It really depends on your taste. I don't hate on COD games, I have played them all and this is my least favorite. The story was pretty good but not great. Multiplayer left a very better taste in my mouth though but I really enjoyed Black Op though. The maps are very small and spawning on top of the other team was an issue. none of the maps were particularly inspiring or anything to write home about, they all felt the same. The guns also all feel the same. Kills often feel cheap and skill-less. Again, I want to be clear that I generally like COD games, just not this one. Black Ops was very good, I played MW2 and W@W to Death and MW1 is still one of the best games ever made. It's just this one...
Like you, I play BF3 now and i can tell you it will be hard to go to COD from an experience like that. They shouldn't even be compared really. BF3 can be a very tactile team oriented game and COD is a run and gun Rambo style.
Again, I won't be ignorant and say MW3 is bad, but I will say it is at the bottom of the list as far as COD games go. Tried to give you a fair unbiased opinion but BF3 is so awesome it is hard to do.
Personally, i look forward to another Treyarch developed game this year. I think they put the best innovation that COD can get into the series, even if Activision bleeds that innovation dry (zombies). I hope they bring back the tanks in multiplayer, that's what COD is missing right now.

I got a Tritton AX PRO. Supports PC/360/PS3 and 5.1 surround. I have had many Turtle Beaches before it and it is easily the best headset I have ever had. the only complaint I have is the wires but sound is simply fantastic.

Vita sales hit 1.2 million worldwide, software surpasses 2 million units

Feb 28th 2012 9:56AM (Joystiq)
@Co
The articles clearly states sale. The future only gets brighter for Vita anyway. There are some serious games coming out in the next 3 months and some of them are can't miss! I played the demo for Unit 13 and it is fantastic! I am going to be buying it over Mass Effect 3 on March 6th, crazy right? there is also Gravity Rush and LBP coming soon, Resistance is right around the corner. Will be buying ALL of that on day 1. Any self respecting gamer would be drooling over these games no matter what you preference is. The only gamers that hate on this console are the ones that can't afford it.
By the way , to those of you that own a Vita and are displease with the currently supported list of games for PSP, there is a work around to make it happen for unsupported games. Direction are at the link below but this doesn't work for EVERY title. I did get Killzone Liberation and Little Big Planet portable to work, hope it helps!

Game explains the missing Ubisoft Vita launch titles, physics

Feb 23rd 2012 10:54AM (Joystiq)
Riiiight... i am sure people will drive all the way to the store to buy a downloadable version of a game that can be downloaded right to your console from your Vita anyway. That makes sense - good call Game!

Sony VP in UK and Ireland talks Vita pricing, says bigger memory cards on the way

Feb 23rd 2012 10:50AM (Joystiq)
To be honest, memory is not as big an issue as it is blown up to be. Pricing sucks, but it doesn't use as much space as you would think. You only really need a large memory card if you are going fully digital with your games, which I have no intention of. Otherwise, you can fit the save data from every title released currently on 1 4gig card and still have space. Doesn't sound so bad when you look at it like that does it?
Granted, I am eventually going to want to get a large one so I can fit ALL my media on it, but I have no issues with waiting either.

Best of the Rest: Alexander's picks of 2011

@Haggard
I did the SAME thing. Took me a year to finish the 1st one. I quit playing at night in favor of well lit rooms and other people in that room. Stopped using my headset completely, was just way too much... That game left a permanent indention on the edge of my couch...

MadCatz's Tritton Detonator now shipping, detonating

Oct 2nd 2011 11:34AM (Joystiq)
I have Tritton AX PRO and they are the best headset I have ever had. Completely adjustable sound for front, back, center and bass right on the in-line controller. Have very solid build, detachable mic and works for PS3, 360 and PC. Sound quality is top notch even though they only use 5.1 surround. For those of you unaware, the human ear can hardly recognize the frequency difference between 5.1 & 7.1 surround. The AX PRO's have 4 speakers in each ear and it makes a hellava difference. They are a little on the pricey side @ 159.00 but for those of you looking for quality, you can't go wrong. Only complaint is the wires, my god the wires. Another bonus for this headset is that the box can support 2 headsets so you can get around the whole needing 2 xbox live account for both to be able to communicate issue.
For the record, i have owned TB X41 & DPX21's, both had flimsy design and plastic was broke within a month! TB also include NO WARRANTY fotr their headsets! Hrrmmm....Wonder why that is..?
