Nov 28th 2011 5:17PM (Joystiq)Thank you for your comment. While I appreciated this article, the characterization of the tea party in relation to OWS was either ignorant or a reflection of the author's political views. It was certainly misleading with the flowery description of OWS and the emphasis on the tiny minority of tea party activists.
I am thankful there are others out there with the ability to read between the lines and filter out the BS. I get enough heartburn following some of these game writers on twitter when they get political. This comment will probably get deleted by joystiq and my account banned but until then I wanted to thank you and the other commenters who noticed your post as well.

Oct 20th 2011 3:28PM (Joystiq)That abysmal beta had my friends laughing at me (rightfully so) for recommending it. And your illusion that most people were ok with the beta is very much in disagreement with the buzz following it's release.
BF3 may be completely different from the beta and it certainly will have to be in order not to blow up in EA's face. Not one CoD player (and even if you don't care EA should) is going to look at that unpolished, 11th hour 'beta' and do anything but laugh at us BF fans who want the BF2 experience.
My point is not that BF3 is terrible, I sincerely hope it won't be, but that EA and DICE are not helping themselves! Don't get me started on the blatantly copied from MW commercials.

Oct 11th 2011 8:48AM (Joystiq)That aside I have a theory. EA has already started downplaying expectations for BF especially in sales. I'm beginning to believe this is due to what they saw as a lack of quality in this product. What better way to lessen the blow of a horrible launch than to open this 'beta' just before the game's release? Everything is hitting the fan now ahead of CoD instead of just before.
As someone who wants CoD dethroned more than anyone, I really wish they'd delay the launch and fix this hot mess. With 6 more months perhaps a worthy sequel to BF2 (oh those were the days) could be possible. As for now, my preorder has been canceled.
