Well, the Renaissance really only affected the upper classes, didn't it? The masses still lived as they had for centuries... vaguely... Not entirely, obviously, but still. They weren't that educated yet... maybe. I unno. This has nothing to do with anything though so yeah.
Anywho, would be interesting to see a game set in that time period. /cough
Would it really be comparable? Something tells me that people in the 17th century wouldn't be quite as... quiet as we really are now. Most people nowadays treat it as a joke and even those that do believe in it don't really go too paranoid. But something about peasants who still believed in the wrath of god and fire and brimstone and whatnot would ignite more paranoia than we have. But then again, this is just me twisting your wording into a paragraph that has nothing to do with the topic at end, so meh.
I really don't think they can possibly squeeze all of this money into one game, or at least the one they originally planned :/
I expect them to look into seeing if they can pour some of this money into some other games... Though they did ask people for money based off an Adventure game... maybe they could make multiple ones? Or they could make a huge one. I dunno. At this rate, I can't see them being able to find legitimate ways to spend this money on that one game :/
Well, I don't know when exactly Origin takes the money for preorders, but if there is a chance for someone to cancel their preorder before the game is released then it makes sense. And not being able to cancel a preorder would be bad, but again I'm not sure when they take your money :/
Also, on a different note, I would be VERY surprised if this game wasn't even being considered. It literally has to be in the works. I mean, seriously.
Online shooters are big this generation. I keep hearing people beg for this game.
For this game to now be in the works would imply that George Lucas does not like money.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I always assumed that the stores actually buy the games and give the money to the publisher, and you are actually buying the game from the store? So wouldn't Warner have already gotten their money, and any leftover copies would be on the store's hands? Or am I misinterpreting that whole process.
Though that probably would be why it only says amount shipped if so... because this is Warner's financials, and the amount shipped is all that matters to their bottom line... or did I misinterpret how that works? :/
Regardless, this game deserved all that attention. Can't wait to see what Rocksteady does next, even if it isn't Batman. Unless, of course, they somehow make a by-the-numbers shooter with no real unique gameplay mechanics... but that'd be stupid. They better do something amazing next... But after the two Batman games, they probably have a little leeway into good deals :p
