... Speaking of which, does anyone know of any other games with modes similar to that? Where you move your guys around and attack other people's territory, which triggers a battle using the regular gameplay but you can do stuff in the RTS mode to affect the battles? Anything like that? Please?
Considering the fact that the publisher gets money from shipping, not actually selling, even if those weren't actual sales it'd make no different to Time Warner. Wheeeeeeee go megaconglomerates go!
The only problem with any sequels is that any villain would really be a step back, since there really isn't any real way they could best an army of god ships that has been keeping the galaxy at check for billions of years.
... Well, maybe they could do something where the Reapers were actually keeping life from advancing far enough to unlock something because if they managed to make said discovery all of existence would end. Or something equally stupid. I unno. Anyway, if you just fight against warlords or whatever, it'd just seem like a step back, y'know? I mean, they could do prequels, but then you wouldn't be playing as humans. And my personal choice for the next game (The fall of the Protheans) would have everyone be bug people. I unno if EA would view that as marketable... Meh, anyway, I'll just shut up now.
People tend to want to spend money on good games. Dragon Age II was rushed, didn't sell too well (I'm pretty sure at least) and turned people off from future Bioware products. By making that small sacrifice to create a better game, EA ensures that they get more money in the future. So yes, EA does care abut making sure this game is good enough for people to want to spend money on.
I am confused as to how this thing could have been so important that its failure was this big a deal. I mean, how could they have thought this was going to do so well that its success or failure would have such a big consequence on the company as a whole? Who decided to base their entire financial strategy on this toy? I have literally never heard anything about this thing anywhere that wasn't saying it brought the company down. Who's bright idea was this? O-o
No, people should get paid for doing their job right. Isn't that supposed to be part of the whole capitalism thing?
So why is it that when a regular guy fails to do his job, he gets fired, but when the CEO fails to do his job and completely brings down a company and causes hundreds of people to lose their job, he still gets paid more then people who work. Aren't we supposed to reward success and punish failure or something? :/
... And YOU'RE saying that completely bringing down a company is worth a bigger salary then people who actually do their jobs?
So... you're saying that he should get paid more then three times what most people consider a decent salary for the fact that now he has to fix the company he screwed up completely?
Ah, capitalism... where you need to do your job right in order to get paid... unless of course you are the CEO, in which case you can bring your entire company down and have people defend you taking home more money then you ever need. /sigh
Sorry to go off track, but I just have to point out that, when you verbally say the date, you usually say March 9th, 2011, or 3/9/11 in numeric format. Thus America makes sense, while you Euro pigs write your dates as if you were saying 9th March 2011. USA! USA! USA!
But on the topic of the original post, that also weirded me out for a second though I instantly knew it was Euro because I know they would not announce a 6 month delay so close to release in the back of a trailer for voice acting. Yeah...
