Regardless of sales, your point has no basis anyway, they're both aimed at a completely different market, are totally different games and have variable prices. Both companies don't stand to lose money, so it seems stupid you'd even make such a dumb comparison.

What you're failing to realise is that in the days of the SNES, one could not simply issue a patch or update a game through the internet because, well, it obviously wasn't possible! If characters needed balancing or new ones were created, the only way to get it out to the consumers was to bring out a new edition or game.

Now that dev's are more than capable of releasing patches and updates via the internet, it strikes me as odd that you would defend Capcom for not doing this. Just because a business model from 20 years ago worked then, it doesn't mean it applies today because things have changed.
