The power of inclusion in Epic Mickey 2

Mar 26th 2012 9:49AM (Joystiq)
That's not true. Disney traded Al Michaels to NBC/Universal for the rights of Oswald. Michaels never owned Oswald, Universal did, and now Disney does.

The Joystiq Indie Pitch: Monster MMORPG

So the game basically started off as a shameless rip-off of Pokemon, and Nintendo forced them to remove their unlicensed content. Forcing him to come up with his own designs.

And the guy is making Nintendo sound like the bad guy here?

Douchebag.

The Joystiq Indie Pitch: Monster MMORPG

Eh, Gameloft also only copies games that do not have a presence on iOS. They made a Zelda and Uncharted rip-off, sure, but there's no "real" Zelda or Uncharted on iOS or Android.

Zynga, however, copies iOS/Facebook games and makes their own iOS/Facebook games, oftentimes also ripping off the artwork style along with the gameplay.

'Unchained Blades' coming to 3DS eShop via XSEED

Mistwalker working on three iOS projects

I want Sakaguchi to work with Nobuo Uematsu (music) and Yoshitaka Amano (art style) on a project.

All of them are ex-Square Enix regulars who pretty much ended their Squaresoft careers with Final Fantasy IX. None of them are currently busy with any major projects, and we haven't seen them all involved TOGETHER since FF9.

Building the Mt. Rushmore of Japanese RPG devs

The real Mt. Rushmore of JRPGs:

Hinorubo Sakagushi
Yoshitaka Amano
Nobuo Uematsu
Tetsuya Nomura

Final Fantasy XIII-2 offers Mass Effect costume DLC in Japan

Mar 22nd 2012 9:23AM (Joystiq)
I guess there's still a small group of Square/Sony combo fanboys who can't seem to grasp that Square Enix is not a Sony second-party developer. It burns them inside that they're a multi-console, third party developer.

Of course, hypocritically, they conveniently forget when Squaresoft was Nintendo-exclusive.

That's a different DLC pack, coming in two weeks or so.
