Or you could also look at it that the top 2 Nintendo products are out selling the top 3 Playstation products 3.5-1. Or that the total amount of Nintendo sales represents 76% of the total amount of consoles sold in Japan (by that sales chart), versus the 22% that Sony has sold (poor Microsoft only represents 2%). Or that the Wii alone is selling 1-1 with all the Sony products combined. Or the fact that the DS lite is selling 1-1 compared to EVERYTHING else combined.
For me, my easiest time PVEing is Shadow Priest/Hunter. For trash mobs just have his bear hold aggro while I Mind Flay and he shoots, then I usually land the last hit which keeps our downtime down. Elite mobs, switch to healing and let his bear tank while he does dps. Works like a charm
So because 2 games aren't coming out until late 2007, a system is automatically a failure. Great reasoning. It's like saying that the 360 is going to tank because GOW didn't come out until late 2006. First off there will be other titles that'll come out that'll tide you over until "the big AAA games".
LOZ:TP wasn't the only game at launch, you also had excite truck, rayman, DBZ, trauma center, elebits, etc that also came out. All good games, most of which aren't available on any other system and only 1 other that is a 1st party title. Sure they may not be as deep as LOZ:TP but that doesn't make them bad games at all.
Then you have the VC games that are being released. Yes most of them are old NES knock-offs that are clearly there to make a buck, but you also got the mostly obscure TG16 games that most people never played (bomberman gets almost as much time as Wii Sports with my group of friends). Also Mario 64 and original Zelda is nothing to scoff at either. And don't forget the Sega gems that are out. Ecco the dolphin, Sonic, and freaking gunstar heroes.
Then finally for those who never owned a GC, or sold one in the middle of the life cycle, there's an entire library of AAA titles both first and 3rd party games that more than deserve to be included. LOZ:WW, Super Mario Sunshine, Mario Kart, Metriod Prime, SSB:M, any Mario Party or Mario Sport out there. Plus your RE:4 Eternal Darkness, Monkey ball, all off the top of my head and I know I'm forgetting a slew of other 3rd party titles that were just as good.
What other console out there has that kind of line up already available during launch window? The 360? Sure their line up is looking strong now, but what did they have a launch? COD2, PGR3 and Kameo and geomitry wars. It wasn't even fully backwards compatable with Xbox1 games. Not until March did they finally see some good titles, FNR3, GRAW, and Oblivion. Then they had to wait until summer for Dead Rising.
And what does the PS3 have? Resistance, that's it. And the promise of MG4 and FF13 some time late 2007 or early 2008. And if you've entered the next-gen with a highdef tv, all those PS1 and PS2 game will look awful on your tv.
The point I'm making is that the Wii has a lot more to offer than most people are making it out to be. And if what's out there is enough for you then don't get the system at all, or also get a 360 or ps3 so it'll broaden your library further.
Well I guess I should add that the first char I lvled to 60 was a Warrior on a PVP server. I quit WoW a few times cause I got fed up with all the ganking, once I got to 60 I left again for about a half a year.
Now with my priest I'm on an RP server so that could have alot to do with it. Although I'm now happy that I put some time in on a PVP server just to feel what it's like (Booty Bay is a completely different town), I feel like the game is on easy mode with an RP server.
My next char is going to be a lock, so my opinion may change, but I do love my non-gankable priest!
I'll throw a vote in for priests. I can easily solo, pvp, or get an invite for an instance group (I get atleast half a dozen whispers for them any time I log in). Heck my shadow priest is lvl 46 and I can take down 48 elites with out breaking a sweat (maybe a mana potion). So while hunters and warlocks have thier pets and rogues have stealth, a priest has dps, healing, and is one of the most popular classes to party with(heck we're getting a "pet" in the expansion). Now if only we had a decent aoe...

Then again, it's all on how you look at things.
