Nexuiz gameplay trailer quakes with rockets, jetpacks

I see what you did there with that headline.

PSA: Xbox Live color playback issue patched

That's nice. I only use Netflix so it doesn't apparently affect me.

Now can you make the dashboard load in a timely manner? It's not exactly 'Quickplay' when it takes a minute and a half for me to be able to access anything in it. The marketplace is horribly slow now too.

Next OS X update blocks unsigned apps by default, unless security adjusted [update]

Wow.

I hate Apple and I still am pretty disgusted by this article. Sounds like all you have to do is turn it off, which even if it is complicated would take all of 2 minutes, especially since we have a thing called the internet which will be flooded with walkthroughs on how to do so. Why even bother posting this unless you're just desperate?

As many stupid decisions as Apple makes, booting third parties out after just recently getting their support is not a move they'd realistically make. Apple is all about selling points and 'computer for the rest of us,' they're not going to take a giant step backwards and piss off a growing part of their user base.

Rumor: Japanese Vita devs jumping ship, Sony responds

Feb 16th 2012 12:18PM (Joystiq)
I'm really not that excited for this thing. There aren't any games I really care about, at least not system seller games, and there isn't some fancy gimmick for me to drool over.

The 3DS had glasses free 3D. To me that was impressive and something that hadn't been seen in a mass market device before, so I wanted to see it. Vita has touch screens, motion control and a fancy display & graphics, which is great and all, but not something that hasn't been done on a smartphone.

Not to mention those sticks, I really can't get used to how little swing they have. Coming from a regular controller it's incredibly hard for me to use them. Uncharted was playable, but I wouldn't describe it as comfortable, same for the Gravity Rush demo. Wipeout was the only game I played on it that felt like a natural transition from 360/PS3.

I'll get one eventually, being a sucker for shiny gadgets, but it'll be as a gift or at a discounted price.

Hayashi: Team Ninja taming its 'sex and violence' image in DoA 5

Feb 14th 2012 8:51PM (Joystiq)
I've always liked DOA equally for the fighting and the fanservice, so 5 can still appeal to me, just not as much now. Hopefully they keep a few moderately skimpy outfits, or just some of the weirder costumes.

'During the fictional Chimera invasion...'

As opposed to the real Chimera invasion of 1928.

'Girl Fight' is pretty much what it sounds like

Microprose...?

They're still around?

iCade 8-bitty is your iOS device's new wireless NES controller

Feb 13th 2012 1:13PM (Joystiq)
If more games supported it, I'd bite. But that list is so small, and most of those games I've never heard of, let alone had the desire to play, that right now it seems pretty pointless.

I have no shame.

I preordered this already for PS3.
