Final Fantasy XIII-2 review: Fixing the past

Jan 28th 2012 4:39PM (Joystiq)
I'm tired of the sappy dialogue, over melodramatic characters, boring fighting system, and campy confusing nonsensical story line. Square needs to re-think what it did so well in the past. It use to be the staple for RPG's and now it's become the symbol of what not to do. Instead of trying to re-invent RPG's, it should call back it's roots and re-think what we fell in love with in years passed. Not sure if that's even possible anymore.

Vita's AT&T data-plan pricing structure pulls a switcheroo

I don't know about all this "paying for portable online" business. I just want them to bomb the first month sales and drop the price drastically already. Give me ffIX in my pocket while I'm in China and I'm happy.

PSA: Here's where UK residents can play the Vita early

Dec 26th 2011 8:23PM (Joystiq)
I'm not sold on the Vita. I'll wait it out, I have a feeling they'l; be dropping the price as fast as 3DS did. It seems like Sony hasn't learned from their mistakes with PSP: still using making us pay for memory, high price games in stupid forms, firmware issues, no PSN lineup at launch (I was really hoping to jump in with an assortment of games from there). I'm also interested to see how nintendo responds to the launch, I'm expecting another 3DS price drop, maybe even introduce a new model? Time will tell.
