@JGGiant915 Thanks! I try to get out there as much as I can. Just wish I could be more places. Turns out the internet is REALLY big. Who knew?

@emeryshores I'm not really that good, but thanks for the flattery. I learned it all by playing (read: Getting beat-down by) our QA guy.

@Goldenspiral

1) Yes, we're aggressively pursuing an Android version of Hero Academy.

2) I can't help with that one, short of releasing an Android version of Hero Academy for Joystiq to cover ;)

@lolkeits awwww, shucks. We love communities that love their developers. This could be a match made in gaming heaven.

@Mujokan Our lead designer/programmer has played all of those. His love for those games is what led to the creation of Hero Academy in the first place.

@haincha For the sake of clarity, the Dark Elves were on sale for $0.99 at launch, but are now set to their regular price of $1.99. Buying any team - the Dark Elves, or future teams we're going to release - will remove the ads from the app.

@Jimjamyaha Oh, and yes, new teams are coming. If you check out the Tips Video in the Training section of the app, watch it all the way to the end for a sneak peek at the next team coming to the game

@Jimjamyaha We're working right now on adding an auto-resign feature for those who abandon their games.

@Pigs on the Wing Hey PotW - Balance is something we're watching really closely. We'll make adjustments as needed. Right now though, our numbers for wins/losses per team are showing us that things are actually pretty close as it is. There are definitely different strategies you have to employ with each team to find success, but once you've settled on those, things can definitely feel a bit more fair. But we will be watching balance as we move ahead. We're already planning some minor balance tweaks to the existing teams that will coincide with the release of the third team coming up.

Hero Academy available now on iOS, free

@Marshillboy

Not really. You can grab the free game and play to your heart's content. There are no walls you have to pay to get around or level caps or anything like that. You can get the game, which includes the Council team, and play as much as you like. It is ad-supported, just so you know, but that's how the "FREE" bit works out. ;)

Of the items you can purchase, they're almost entirely cosmetic - team color changes, taunts, and avatars. You can buy additional Teams to play with. Think of them like little expansion packs. Right now, we've got the Dark Elves available for purchase. New teams have their own unique art and animations, abilities, and so on, but we do a lot of work to balance the teams so that you can't pay to win. It's just about offering up some new and interesting game mechanics for players who want more strategic options.
