Awesome? Is this Wii U-exclusive, meaning does Nintendo own the franchise? If so, this would be great competition with Microsoft's Forza Motorsport series and Sony's Gran Turismo series.
The only series Nintendo got to keep from Rare was Donkey Kong Country, because they contain Nintendo-made characters. KI, Conker, Banjo, Perfect Dark and Battletoads are made entirely by Rare FOR Nintendo consoles, but they weren't owned by Nintendo.
Even if Nintendo owns the KI series, why hasn't Nintendo made KI3? Microsoft owns them, but even they aren't doing anything with Rare. Microsoft wont fund any Rare franchises. How in the world they even allowed Perfect Dark Zero and Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts to be made is nothing short of a miracle.
@ mrwhitenoise: I named 4 properties, Gears of War, Halo, Banjo-Kazooie and Killer Instinct. You must have only read one franchise I mentioned and half of another before you decided to cut yourself off and chew me out. Do I have to list every single possible choice for you?
I could name a bunch. Marcus Fenix (GoW), Seargeant Johnson (Halo), pretty much anyone in Killer Instinct since Microsoft technically owns the series after buying Rare, and in that case, how about Banjo and Kazooie, since Tekken has 2 bears in this game?
BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger BlazBlue: Continuum Shift BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II (forgot this one) BlazBlue: Contimuum Shift Extend
Looking kinda Street Fighter II-ish to me. They're working on BlazBlue 3? Okay, but we don't need Extend. And considering we haven't had a [new] entry in the Guilty Gear fighting game series since 2004's Isuka (Accent Core Plus is just "Super Turbo" Of GGX2), something is majorly wrong here. I think we need a little less updating of existing games and a little more trying to resuscitate a series that has been on life-support for 8 years.
Most fighting game developers made several franchises that they work on SIMULTANEOUSLY (Capcom has Street Fighter and the VS. Series (would have listed Darkstalkers, but... you know, it's dead), SNK Playmore has The King of Fighters and Samurai Shodown, Namco Bandai has Tekken and Soulcalibur, and Arc has Guilty Gear and BlazBlue). With Arc buying Guilty Gear back, you'd think they'd drop what they're doing to give fans at least one new Guilty Gear game as a sign of good faith. You know, because Guilty Gear was responsible for putting them on the fighting game map?
You mentioned the Persona fighting game they're making. Um, okay. Are you going to count the Fist of the North Star fighting game they made back around 2005-ish? Or should we only count franchise Arc actually MADE?
Actually, that reminds me... why are they not making a new entry in the Battle Fantasia series? They made that fighting game too.
What the hell is Arc System Works? Are they Capcom now? What's with all the "Super Turbo" versions of BlazBlue games they wont stop making? They bought the rights to Guilty Gear off of Sega after Sega merged with Sammy. They got Guilty Gear back. They need to stop working on BlazBlue for a while and make a new Guilty Gear. And not some stupid platformer that doesn't even have anything to do with Guilty Gear, like that Pro Jumper Guilty Gear Tangent game on the Nintendo DS. I mean a real Guilty Gear game.
I may catch **** for saying this, but I'm glad Bethesda won. I would say differently if Interplay were actually working on a Fallout MMO, but they weren't doing anything at all. Those concept art shots and their website for the game, they were probably just made spur of the moment when Bethesda accused them of not working on the MMO and Interplay whipped them up real fast just to get Bethesda to back off, and nothing more.
Either Bethesda should make the Fallout MMO, or the former Black Isle Studios guys who are now with Obsidian should. Interplay can take a hike.
So instead of just age-restricting avatar props so older players can still get them, they have to ruin our fun so the kiddies feel safe? Don't want little Billy in danger of being shot by virtual guns when Microsoft knows damn well kids play shooter games anyway?
Oh my god, finally Gameboy Color games are coming out. I know we got Link's Awakening DX for GBC a day after the eShop launched, but that was a special case to promote Zelda. I didn't think GBC games would take so long to start rolling out.
I thought the 5th class would be something that Cartman would claim only he could be, and he'd have the ability to have all abilities (like in the Fun Times With Weapons episode where he had the power to have all powers until everyone objected).
Slightly Mad's Project Cars coming to Wii U, has nothing to do with Pixar
