Thanks for the response, I have been looking for a decent sand-boxy game. and a post apoclyptic game is most decidedly not the run of the mill fantasy game.

@Shadanwolf

On pvp servers there is opportunity to do world pvp, but like other games the PvP that is rewarded the most is the PvP that happens in the warfronts.

@Lenn

Been in the beta for some time.

There is no "off the beaten path", you are hand held from a to b to c....

Don't go into the game expecting a genre defining MMO, but rather KOTOR 3 where you see other peeps playing their copy of KOTOR 3 with you.

I have my reservations about the game "as an MMO" but I would rather others play and for their own opinion.

I still have the game on pre-order, but I give the the game 3/5 stars, and .5 of those stars come from it being Star Wars.

My opinion, YMMV

The Daily Grind: Have the post-NDA testimonials changed your mind about SWTOR?

@BlackFx

Trooper, Bounty Hunter, Sith Warrior, Jedi Knight.

All to level 30.

It is not a bad game, just not what the hype leads you to think.

It is star wars, it has space ships, it has light sabers -- it will do well.

But it is just average gameplay IMHO. All gamers are diffrent, I could not get into Everquest, but loved Eve and WoW. Does not mean that you cannot love it, and I think it is average.

Rift will survive, played both, they are diffrent enough to make the comparison moot.

I picked it up, I am a fan of the genre.

I think the final boss is tougher in "ultamate" than he was in original

This is my thoughts as well, 4 beta builds in.

It is not a "bad" game, just over hyped.

The real test is how well it it holds subscribers.
