@AJack

They're there for the extra piercing damage, of course.

DICE details next big Battlefield 3 fix list

@Fugaku I'm sure they take pride in what they do, but that doesn't mean EA still hasn't destroyed DICE in their quest to make a "CoD killer". They've put all their focus on 1-UPing CoD instead of 1-UPing their previous BF games and it shows. The game clearly was forced out early in time to try and grab sales from MW3 and the game was clearly designed to cater towards the console BC fans with enough tweaks to try and get some new CoD customers (they even mention "taking some of the pie" from CoD shortly after release). Plus, between this, BC, and MoH i'm certain we'll be seeing a nearly yearly release schedule of FPSes from EA using the same tired MP tweaked to fit the IP (so a nerfed frost bite with no vehicles for MoH, no jets/prone for BC, etc). It's a shame, I used to absolutely LOVE DICE.

Battlefield 3: Aftershock pulled from App Store

@Roflrex They are the publisher, but they get input into how the game is made. They've pretty much ruined DICE in a mad attempt to "take part of the CoD pie" with all their focus being on making a CoD killer instead of improving on their BF formula. And DICE seems to be more than content spitting out the same game with tweaked graphics every release now. Heck even the new MoH is using the frostbite 2.0 engine. I smell a yearly release schedule hidden under the guise of 3 different titled games.

@jcar302 It's already out, they just dropped the Bad Company part of the name and called it BF3.

DICE details next big Battlefield 3 fix list

Meh, still see no fixes for health/armor regen, spawn on everyone, tweaking classes so not everyone plays assault and engineer, fixing the poorly designed clusterf*** maps, no fixes for terrible weapon attachment selections like scopes on shotties and silencers on LMGs, still nothing to rebuild battlelog so it actually becomes an acceptable forum a 15yr would be proud of, no fix for VOIP or comma rose, no fix for that god-awful minimap, no fix for our console port UI.....

oh that's right, they already "nailed it" and got our money so all they need to do is tweak the weapons around a bit to make it all better. And think up some new DLC they can sell to us.

Battlefield 3: Aftershock pulled from App Store

@Haunted CoinOp Well it's to be expected, all the vets have long since moved on and all that's left is the Twitch-action BC/CoD/Halo gamers. Though seriously, the game (even regardless of it's "sequel-ness" or lack-there-of) is still plagued with cheaters, bugs, freezes, complete lack of Dev communication outside of tweets, lack of patch support besides weapon tweaking, and forum mods that act more like self-appointed "hall monitors" than mods. It's a huge fail anyway you look at it and they can get away with it just because because they aren't Activision (root of all evil, but at least caters to its fans) and they can put together a pretty-looking cookie-cutter FPS.

Does this mean they'll pull BF3 off the shelves as well?

Seriously though, I really hate EA for killing the BF series. I honestly don't see how they can keep the BC and BF series separate anymore. They might as well just rename the franchise and and tell fans the next BF will have BC's single player story and BF's multiplayer (aka BC's multiplayer).

Wii's 'The Last Story' coming to North America in 2012 [update: summer!]

@StarcasM I second this; and it's a bit sly for nintendo to be reporting on it in their little "Nintendo Direct" podcasts (or whatever you wanna call it) like they had something to do with it. It's very clearly stated XSeed is the one doing all the work and probably the company that started the drive to get it released. NoA probably had very little to do with it than jump on the bandwagon once someone else rose up to do the work.

Origin ends offer of Battlefield 3 bonus with Mass Effect 3 early

Reminds me of another preorder deal for ME2. What was it again? Oh yea, famous developer tries to make sequel to game, fails miserably, and then starts to give away game free with other game's preorder. Well at least with this I've now split all ties with EA and their cashed-out developers.
