Easy mode is okay, but you miss out on all the strategy of stock market, capital gains, and district investment.
This is a far more involving game than Monopoly, with investments and the ability to devalue someone's land by pulling your stocks from them.
Depending on the level you'll notice a difference too. Some levels only have 4-6 districts (These are shorter games 1-2 hours) other games have upwards of 10 districts (Much longer games 2+. I played on a 10 district and it was 3 hours. Worth every second if I might add.
So I've played four full games with two players. My biggest issue comes from the AI. But the game itself is deep, involving, and fun. I think this review may be a missed mark. It is supposed to be two hours.
I find the first 30 minutes to be plodding. The next 30 minutes to be all about moves. Then things get intense where you're trying to invest smart, get your max capital up and purchase out houses that people own without trying to destroy your overall value.
It's a brilliant and fun experience with two or more players. Single player is a dud, but who cares? Monopoly or any board game alone is dreadful. Tonight is Fortune Street night at my house, first time I get to play it with four people. I'm expecting nothing short of an amazing night.
