Kingdoms of Amular is on Steam because EA does not own 38 Studios/BHG. They were hired to publish the game. Not the same thing as Bioware who are owned by EA.
It will be really awesome when more developers start demanding that you use their client to play their games.
I remember this well. I followed this game for quite awhile. I remember all the hype about how it was going to push the PC platform to the limit with it's light and shadows in the game. When the devs came out and completely disrespected PC users with some the stupid things they said I swore I'd never buy a game make by this dev.
I think PC gamers need to go back and see what the devs had to say about us, about how the PC platform isn't suited to scary games etc etc.
Go ahead and release it on PC, don't care, you lost me several years ago as a customer.
Good luck with that. They are only making 300 of the SE and 700 of the LE. These aren't like the "limited editions" of other games. These are actually "limited" in number. Last time I checked there were only 15 of the SE left. Probably be out of stock in the next couple of hours.
If you want to know the potential value of these things head on over to ebay and look up what the Ultra Dead Space edition and the Limited edition Mass Effect are going for.
$275 for a REAL limited edition that comes with 3 signed items in the box and limited to 300 units is worth the risk.
Heck even the $80 edition is limited to just 2000 copies. You'll see those going on ebay for considerably more. I bet you'll see people trying to sell their copy even before the release date.
EA adds CD Projekt RED, Paradox, and nine other publishers to Origin
