My account was also stolen the day after Christmas... except the person who stole my account managed to change my password to my Live ID as well.

i logged into my Xbox to find it was logged into another system, points stolen.

The real gem of a story comes from my interaction with Windows Live ID support. My recovery email and information has been changed, so I have to submit some stupid form that pretty much does not apply to a primarily XBL account... yet they continually note that they cannot verify information and to "try harder" to remember the pertinent information... despite answering all of the fields that apply. Essentially telling me that they cannot help me, XBL support tells me that i may have to set up a new Live Id at the end of the 24 day investigation period.

Windows Live ID has to be the most ignorant, ass-backward support I've ever seen. "Hello, my account has been stolen. On the 26th the password, recovery email and presumably name/security questions were all changed. All XBL points stolen from the gamertag and used on a different console" ... Does it take a friggin rocket scientist to notice something shady? No... but they sure as hell can give me the run-around.

Microsoft is definitely losing a customer over this situation. The pathetic part is that email is rarely used for anything and there have been no phishing emails clicked and NONE of my other emails from gmail, yahoo, etc. had been compromised. Big shock there.
