EA, hackers win big off FIFA Ultimate Team
Feb 2nd 2012 4:42PM (Joystiq)i am not resulting to name calling just voicing my opinion. i dont think that it that your statement - "I think most people that bitch are just being entitled a-holes and expect to much from MS. I know its not my fault I was hacked, but at the same time it was not MS or EA's fault either. It was some sad losser across the world with no real talent or job." -
i do agree that it was probably someone across the world who did it, but i dont agree with you when you say its not MS or EAs fault either. mabey it wasnt their fault the first time it happened but when they heard about it and have not dont anything to mention it in a bigger way and just shrug it off. mabey the first time it wasnt direct the fault of EA or MS but when they know about it and let it happen over and over again, it then becomes their fault for letting it happen. if they know that there is a flaw in their system for hacking accounts and stealing points or funds form CCs or paypal accounts thats where it becomes a huge issue of theft.
you can call me an idiot all you want, it wont help the fact that i am one of many who have been fifa hacked and been robbed of points and in other cases more.
do you not agree that you want the account hacks and fifa hacking to stop? when stuff like this happens and the 2 major parties dont really do much about or release a public statement stating they are trying to fix the issue, that becomes an issue for all who have been compromised.
EA, hackers win big off FIFA Ultimate Team
Feb 2nd 2012 12:33PM (Joystiq)it most definitely is EA or MS at fault. they are getting calls daily on this and blogs are posting day after day of people who are getting their accounts hacked. if you think this is ok and EA or MS should do nothing to prevent it, then i hope you get your account hacked again so you can realize in the future that EA is responsible for not doing anything about it after thousands of people are getting robbed because of their game and MS is doing nothing to talk to EA about its flaw and letting this EA game get away with this.
i was one who had their account hacked and all that was stolen was 2000 points. i had the same experience you did. MS was very fast to get my money back and give an extra month of LIVE but that shouldn't resolve them of any wrong doing. its the piece of mind that is lost and sense of trust and security we had before we were hacked.
all the people who got hacked are not "entitled a -holes", we just demand that our account is secure on the basis that we pay for this account and put CC information on LIVE. i know that putting CC info is a choice on our part but since they allow it and know about it they should have a secure system for not letting anyone but the user use the account that the CC or MS points are on.
sony did the right thing when it found out that thier system was being hacked and peoples CC and wallet info was being compromised. they shut the PSN down and re-worked the whole thing. MS has said nothing about this and it is going on and will go on until a lawsuit comes out. but since MS made us agree to no class-action lawsuits against them when we had to change the dashboard to use xbox LIVE ( http://www.joystiq.com/2011/12/07/new-xbox-live-terms-of-service-prevent-class-action-lawsuits-aga/ ), we cant let our collective voices be heard. sure we can get a start a lawsuit individually but its harder to win and MS knows that.
EA is one low company for not looking into more and using ill gotten money to boast on their earnings call.
anyway nin696, i hope that you change your mind on thinking that all of us that have been hacked are "entitled a -holes" and come to the realization that companys that make profit on stolen money is wrong and needs to stop. EA is the one helping hackers steal. EA reaps the reward and MS is giving them the service to let the hackers in.
sorry for the long post. just wanted to get my opinions out.
