@oggsy92 It's because the Raw Game-play actually is VERY similar to what was made popular in COD, and that is, grounded to 'Realism' where they try and give you Realistic movement (Boring) realistic gun-play(boring) and realistic looking maps (Boring).
As I said in my comment, Far Cry had it right when there was predator mode, which greatly increased freedom of movement and added a unique element to the environment.
I'm sorry, but having "Awesome Fire" is not enough to distinguish it from the rest of bland ass shooters out there.
A full featured map editor is a plus, but as it was in FC2, what good is a sweet map editor if the gunplay is bland and forgettable?
Battle-Cries give you XP, which then can be used to purchase "Supply and Support".
Yah that doesn't sound like it'll be exploited.
This multi-player looks FAR too much like every other shooter, which is, done to death. I don't know why they couldn't have made it more in the style of the original, with predator mode greatly improving the freedom of movement, that was soooo much more fun then "Bland, Typical, 'Realistic' gun play".
Granted, this does look to be a Far Cry from the horrendous MP in FC2. Hopefully it'll have a full featured map editor
I for one refuse to buy games which feature this sort of mockery. Games are already ridiculously expensive nowadays, then they have the nerve to sell us half of a game, with code in place to lock off the other half until we give them even more money. Hell no. I will not support any company who does this.
This looks awesome, and the devs sounds like the got it right with "It all comes down to how it feels under your thumb", which is something lost to so many developers these days, even Bungie screwed up their "How it feels under the thumb" element with Halo: Reach.
Far Cry 3's multiplayer looks as fun as it is pretty
