Square has taken all those computers used to render Final Fantasy: Spirits Within and is using their limitless processing power to generate every possible string of random words for use as Kingdom Hearts titles.

So once again we'll have the Wii and the "next gen" systems.

Microsoft needs to stop investing resources into changing the controller's appearance and fix the gotdam D-pad. And no, that one with the rotating D-pad is not enough.

Clearly Namco didn't give the dev team the resources to make a full fledged sequel. I'm afraid Namco's need to make a quick buck off of SC5 might have done enough damage to bring the series to an end.

@RJBond I, for one, am looking forward to helping EA recoup their losses in the form of even more exciting DLC for such sure-fire hits as Shot That Guy 3 and Ball Throwing Simulator 2013.

@RogueJedi86 That was back when an online shooter was a pretty unique thing for console gaming. A year later Halo 2 hit. Since then there has been such a flood of shooters that they all start to just blur together. It wasn't that Zipper couldn't continue to level of quality, but rather it was extremely difficult to innovate enough to stand apart from the rest of the pack. Only COD4 has really managed to do so on consoles since then and even that series has fallen into the rut of releasing the same game year after year.

The patch that was released for SC5 a week or so ago was an absolute train wreck. They managed to nerf the weaker characters while leaving the more popular/powerful ones mostly untouched. The patch notes left a lot of players on Calibur forums scratching their heads as they tried to figure out what the development team was thinking when they made some of the changes. As much as I love the series, the patch was bad enough to make me stop playing.

Thankfully my lolcats collection is stored on the PS3. Cyber-checkmate, hackers. :)
