The smaller packs are only for Premium Elite members. All they are are the content from the traditional packs spread over a few months. They still have the traditional 5 to 6 item every 2 to 3 months packs.
All they did was add another way to receive the DLC. Either you can go the old way and buy a DLC pack for ~$15 every 2 or 3 months or you can pay $50 up front and receive the content early, spread out before it's released in a collection.

Personally I like the new method, $50 upfront to get the content early, spread out, and cheaper. Makes sense if your going to buy it anyways.

It's the same as before. PS3 will always get content later then the 360. You will still get it earlier then every one else on the PS3 and non-premium 360 users, just after the 360 Premium Elite members.

If you don't like it get a 360. It's got better games anyways.

You must be new to MW. That's not how online play works. You will still be playing against the "hardcore Elite players" in online matchmaking, its just that the new maps won't be put up for vote when anyone in the lobby doesn't have them.
Suppose you have the first content drop, but someone else in the lobby doesn't. The lobby will then be restricted to a playlist consisting of only the maps you have in common (the ones that came with the disk).
So come March the "casual gamers" will have their a$$es handed to them because they will be on the same playlist with maps that Premium Elite members have had practice with for up to 3 months beforehand.
Also it will be very unlikely that the Premium Elite members "will be bored with" it as they will be receiving fresh content at least every month.
Your argument that they will "already playing a new map that wasn't in the pack" is also invalid as you will still play each other (see above).

$300 is way off, it will probably be around the normal $60. They're including the content drops in the 20 DLC. Content drops are only for Elite Premium members and don't cost anything.
