@24hourpartypal AMD (owns ATI) just released the HD7970 and it's a 600$USD part (check newegg.com). Pretty sure a console has never launched with best discrete graphics card due to their extreme price when they are first released.

@Liquidfingers Halo 2 came out on 11/9/04, so 2014 would be the 10 year anniversary (source: wikipedia). Also, Msoft confirmed at CES this year that the next Xbox won't appear at this E3 (use google to find articles).
