I was also in India this past year - in October, (First time in 6 years) and I fell even more in love with Indian commercials, this being one of my favourites. I think it's a GREAT ad, it's fun and catchy.
Also, India has a growing group of middle-class 'youngsters' who have a larger disposable income than ever before, it's not so crazy to think that they are buying these. Though the prices ARE ridiculous and very unfair compared to the economy over there. I got the feeling that it was more of a "rich person" thing to have, rather than in North America where they are more common.
