Wii Warm Up: Holiday fun
Jan 2nd 2009 2:20PM (Joystiq Nintendo)The next day my wife and I had the day off so we played Boom Blox for a couple hours and then Wii sports for a few more.
New Years was a different story, only the pre-teens played Wii upstairs. The adults played Scrabble, Rook, and Hands n' Feet (last two are card games). I played the longest, about 6-7 hours of Rook. Although, we had the one side of the family's "christmas" gift exchange and 3 Wii games were given as gifts (all shovelware for the pre-teens) and got a gift card to Best Buy which probably will go to gaming.
The obligatory 'What did you get?' post
Dec 29th 2008 3:24PM (Joystiq Nintendo)Wii brand sleep shorts from my Wife
2000 Wii Points from my Sister
and my bro-in-law gave me his XBOX 360 with Rainbow Six 2, Kane & Lynch, Star Wars: the complete saga (which actually I bought for him this Christmas but since he gave me his system i bought it for myself) and a couple of RPGs that I will probably never play because I don't have the time. It is the first non-Nintendo brand system I have ever owned.
I also got the Gutiar Hero : World Tour disc only for $20 and a wireless sensor bar for $6 at my local circuit city because it was going out of business.
