I think Massively had another article a little earlier today that shared two videos that a guy posted from the beta about how close and ranged combat worked. He sounded like he knew what he was talking about and touted Tera's combat mechanics. Give them a view and you might find yourself a little more intrigued with the game.
I figure that it is hard to say Tera is objectifying women when the males have armor that is just as skimpy. At that point it just becomes the character and art design of the game. I think the effect is more exaggerated in Guild Wars where most of the men have bulky armor sets while the women are left in the cold with their metal bikinis. While the females in Tera may have clothing that is similarly... averse to combat (and BOY is it), I think the armor on my male Castanic slayer is just as impractical.
That said, I am really looking forward to the launch. The beta really left me wanting more after I starting taking on BAMs and dungeons with groups of players.
