@Traptz I agree, I myself am guilty of hyping up games way too much and end up regret buying them. It would honestly be better if we didn't have any info about a game until a couple days before release. That way our minds couldn't wonder for months/years.
Think of a developer as a MotoX Racer. The fans of the franchise are the racers friends.
His friends go on and on to other people about how good he is and how he will be the best MotoX'er in years.
Then he loses a race or 2 and all those investors and fans start to doubt his ability.
WoW had a terrible launch and so did SWTOR. But the difference is WoW was 8 years ago and set the bar of what todays MMO's should strive to be.
SWTOR had years worth of research to help them with a smooth launch but they chose to ignore a lot of it.
If you honestly think that TOR had the smoothest launch ever then all I have to say is........You haven't played many MMO's.
I've played at least 15 MMO's that I can remember off the top of my head, I'm sure there's more, there are 3 of them that come to mind when I think of worst launches.

I've seen 3 and a half plus hour queues before. We don't see them anymore but they were there for a few weeks after TOR launched.
