Capcom: Street Fighter X Tekken DLC on-disc to ensure compatibility
Mar 5th 2012 9:46PM (Joystiq)So you are literally saying that if Capcom had just kept their mouths shut and didn't put it on the disc, then released it in six months later even though it was finished long ago, then it would be fine. Even though literally nothing was different. But if it's done before the game is released, no matter how much it costs to develop or how far and above and beyond it goes, it has to be given to the entitled gamer. Do you realize how ridiculous this sounds? Again, what does when something is created have to do with how it is marketed and sold? The box says 38 characters for $60. That's all you get. Saying I get everything made before the release date no matter what is preposterous.

Mar 5th 2012 9:00PM (Joystiq)Are you reading the same thread as me? Everyone is crying like a baby because the content is on the disc and they "own" it. Nobody is saying anything about the Vita version. And comparing the Vita version to the console versions doesn't make any sense... they don't even appeal to the market, and for most people the Vita version costs at least $290. Having said that, if people are really upset because the Vita version is better at least that is halfway a legitimate reason, unlike all of this 'it's on the disc" nonsense.

Mar 5th 2012 8:20PM (Joystiq)For the people who are saying, "it's on the disc, I own it!", please stop embarrassing yourself. You have no idea how software licensing works. You do not own anything.
For the people who are saying, "it's finished at release, it should be included!", please explain what the completion date has to do with anything. You are not privy to Capcom's inner workings and budget. What if Capcom had made 100 characters? Would you deserve all of them too? Capcom has decided that you get 38 characters for $60. If you don't think that's worth it, don't buy it. Acting like you deserve something based on when it was completed is utterly stupid.
People (actually mostly just kids with no money) are just mad because this game is going to be a little pricey. And I get that. But please lose the entitlement, it's making me embarrassed to be a gamer.
