Vanquish was actually entertaining when I picked up at 17.99, but Binary Domain is garbage. Instead of working on Binary Domain, they should've done a Vanquish 2 to fix what was wrong with the first one.
@foxhound First, I wish this review was out yesterday, before I attended the midnight for this garbage. This should've been release as a 19.99 budget game.
As far as the gameplay foxhound, thing of a poor man's gears of war. It has a cover system, but even the game the Kill.Switch works better than this garbage. It's a very simple bare-bones cover system, but it seems as the game was trying to go for a Gears of War feel.
No matter what difficulty you play at, the A.I. is garbage. Bumping into each other, and they have no concept of a how a door or wall work.
The game is poorly programmed, and even on casual the game is nothing but hard.
The game did however tell the story of how everything began, using the game and movies as a reference, kinda cool.
The game is terrible. The graphics look like the HD ports of the ps2 or xbox, and the gameplay mechanics are terrible. Especially the sequences where you have to move the joystick around, ala God of War, is just horrendous.
When first announced they said this was going to be in the style of SOCOM, with the tactical squad gameplay. No it's just a terrible rip of Gears of War, with terrible graphics and horrid level layout.
I hope this helps out anyone before they make the same mistake I did.
