Hey, great idea! Maybe you know some guys who could do it, or even you yourse- waaaaait... "Special Agent"? Nice try, po-po! Momma Kaerne didn't raise no foolish children!
I live in a small house with three other people who would love this game and gladly play it until the small hours of the morning.
So needless to say, I'm am starting a Kickstarter project to assassinate the creators of this Kickstarter project. I only need $1000 for supplies: A hammer, kerosene, three types of electrical cabling, duct tape, a rental car with a large trunk and a wicker hamper containing an assortment of mice.
I get your fear, but I think it's a bit misplaced in this case. Apart from anything else, people that fund $15 (usually) will get the full game on release - so you don't "fund the game AND buy it", you fund the game OR buy it.
Which must scare the shit out of Publishers' accountants.
Agreed. Obsidian have a VERY spotty record when it comes to designing quality products, and their recent games have definitely emphasized form over function... and somehow not fully succeeded in either.
Hopefully they're just planning on limiting their support to providing training to inXile with modern design tools. Fingers crossed, anyway.
Either way, I've been debating with myself whether or not to fund the game and this has sadly pushed me into the "no thanks" camp :(
Well, just... Just Goddammit. I've resisted the iPad for all this time, with a smug sense of superiority as I watched my friends fall to it. Swords and Sworcery couldn't lure me. Infinity Blade I resisted with a stoic calm.
But Baldur's Gate? Now they're just playing dirty.
True, that. Someone in chat once called it "Excel spreadsheet with graphics" and since then I haven't been able to play it for more than a week before the justness of the comparison crushes my spirit.
I imagine joining a corp would help alleviate the tedium, though.
HEY! Here's a Kickstarter for a yelling-controlled game
